The latest GT3 to leave the Porsche factory is the 991.2GT3RS and Porsche have made some significant changes. This car is the third ever Porsche production car to break the 7 minute barrier at the Nurburgring showing its pedigree not only on the road but on the track. The success of the Weissach Pack (WP) on the GT2RS and the 918 Spyder lead to Porsche offering this pack on this car which makes it so special.
The 991.2 GT3 RS is equipped with a 4.0 L naturally aspirated flat-six engine that redlines at a screaming 9000 rpm. 520ps (although many insiders believe this to be more) is sent to the rear wheels by way of a lightning quick 7-speed PDK transmission, making for an astonishing 0-60 time of only 2.9 seconds. This car includes the optional Weissach Package.
Focusing on weight saving the engineers at Weissach have managed to shave 18kg off the weight of a Clubsport specification GT3 RS. This has been done primarily using a carbon fibre roof and a new titanium roll cage to replace the heavier steel one included with the Clubsport Pack. Saving weight this high up in the car gives the added benefit of lowering the centre of gravity, reducing roll whilst aiding overall braking, acceleration and turn-in performance. Stiffness and further weight reduction have also been achieved through the use of carbon fibre anti-roll bars & drop links, whilst sound deadening has been reduced as well as interior trim and carpeting cut back. You know you are in something special when you see the Weissach logo embroidery on the headrests and plaque on the cupholder cover.
This stunning example has a great specification with attention to detail on ensuring the inside matches the exterior colours with colour coordinated stitching inside.
The car also has had some considerble spend on it with the last owner. Full Paint protection film (PPF) applied, with double film in the high impact areas. All of the internal carbon has been protected with PPF as have the door sills. The windscreen has Clearplex film applied. In addition, the plain black front fender and side intakes which detract from the original car have been replaced with proper Carbon fibre versions at considerable cost. The cost of these changes including film and carbon amounted to over £10k.
With just 809 miles from new, this stunning example which we think is in the best colour, GT Silver, is in perfect condition as you would expect
